AUDRAIN NEWPORT CONCOURS & MOTOR WEEK NAMED

“MOTORING EVENT OF THE YEAR” AT THE 2025 INTERNATIONAL HISTORIC MOTORING AWARDS.

Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week has been awarded Motoring Event of the Year at the 2025 International Historic Motoring Awards (IHMA),

one of the collector-car world’s most prestigious global honors, presented by Lockton in London.

Selected from among the world’s leading concours, rallies, festivals, and multi-day motoring celebrations, this award

recognizes the single most outstanding automotive event of the year and Audrain’s entire organization is honored to be

positioned among the premier celebrations of automotive culture worldwide to be recognized by IHMA like previous winners

of this award the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and International St Moritz Automobile Week.

"I am thrilled that the Audrain Newport Concours and Motor Week won. I always envisioned this to be an American

version of Goodwood with a little Brooklands thrown in, 'the right crowd with no crowding, ' and people seem to agree."

– Jay Leno, IHMA Judge & Longtime Audrain Participant

"I was absolutely delighted, and not at all surprised, to hear that the Audrain Newport Concours has won such a

prestigious award and very well deserved too!"

– His Grace, The Duke of Richmond

Held before an audience of international guests at the sold-out ceremony at the Peninsula London, the IHMA honored

excellence across restoration, motorsport, publishing, museums, and global automotive events. Audrain Newport stood out

not only for the world-class quality of its concours field but also for the depth, breadth, and originality of its Motor

Week programming, which includes curated driving tours, educational seminars, exclusive gatherings, lifestyle events, and

community experiences staged throughout Newport’s iconic Gilded Age venues.

“We are deeply honored to receive this distinction from the IHMA. This award reflects not only the passion of the

Audrain organization, but also the extraordinary enthusiasm of our participants, volunteers, partners, and the entire

Newport community. Our goal has always been to create an event that celebrates not only great cars, but great

people. This recognition affirms our mission of Preserving, Celebrating & Sharing Automotive History.”

– Nic Waller, President, Audrain Group

“This began with a simple belief: that great cars deserve great settings, and great people make great events. We

didn't set out to win awards, we set out to create something meaningful. Our vision was simply to bring together

passionate collectors and enthusiasts from around the world to celebrate over a century of automotive excellence, all

within the incomparable setting of Newport, Rhode Island. This recognition tells us we're achieving something even

greater: building a community that honors both automotive heritage and the unique spirit of this remarkable city. I

want to thank the International Historic Motoring Awards for this prestigious honor, and for recognizing the

tremendous effort our team and the city of Newport have invested in making this event special, not just this past year,

but for decades to come.”

– Nick Schorsch, Founder, Audrain Concours & Motor Week

Newport: A City Unlike Any Other

The setting of Newport is inseparable from the identity of Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week. With its dramatic

Atlantic coastline, world-renowned Gilded Age architecture, vibrant arts and culinary culture, and walkable historic

waterfront, Newport offers an atmosphere unmatched by any other automotive event.

The city’s legacy of craftsmanship, design, innovation, and leisure, shaped by centuries of architectural, maritime, and

cultural history, provides a rich and immersive backdrop that elevates both the concours and the larger Motor Week

experience.

"Congratulations to the Audrain Concours team who hosted a beautifully orchestrated three days of perfect

hospitality. We wanted for nothing throughout the event and the superb field of rare cars was just breathtaking. I am

so glad I went and I am very pleased, but not surprised that the Audrain has won this well deserved accolade."

– Anne Brockinton Lee, Collector & Concours Participant

"The Historic Motoring Awards sure knows how to pick them...the quality of cars, the tour, the weather, and the

setting were all just stunning!"

– David Sydorick, Collector & Concours Participant

A Milestone for American Automotive Culture

While the IHMA honors events from across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and the Americas, this award places

Audrain Newport at the forefront of the global collector-car stage. The recognition reflects a broader evolution in

American concours culture, celebrating not only historical preservation but also creativity, inclusivity, and the future of the

hobby.

"I'm very happy to see The Audrain Newport Motor Week has been honored by the IHMA. McLaren has been

involved with the event since the beginning and I look forward to the next time I get to visit with the Schorsch Team in

Newport. Many congratulations from one winning team to another!"
